Kemi Akeju-Chavez
Kemi assists clients with developing new business
opportunities through strategic marketing tactics. Her
goal is to provide innovative marketing ideas to each
client. She accomplishes this by learning the "ins and
outs" of her client's niche markets and developing
marketing materials, strategies and opportunities that
position her clients as both an expert and resource to
their niche markets.
Kemi began her professional marketing career, as the
Director of Marketing for the Hawkins & Associates
agency of New England Financial. From there, she
became the senior account manager at a Los Angeles-
based marketing and public relations firm. With more
than ten years experience, Kemi has provided
marketing support to a variety of industries, including;
publishing, financial services, real estate, legal
services, health care and non-profit.
Kemi currently serves as the membership chairman
and member of the board of directors Colorado
Independent Publishers Association, she also serves
as the association's Marketing Chairperson. Other
publishing association memberships held by Kemi
include Small Publishers Association of North America
(SPAN), Publishers Marketing Association (PMA) and
Arizona Book Publishing Association.
Kemi received her Bachelor of Science degree in
Business Administration with a Marketing Management
option from California State University, Los Angeles.
She is currently a candidate for an MBA with an
emphasis in Marketing.
